We cannot say goodbye to 2017 without a shout out to some noticable achievements from cubers that we should look out for in the coming years. Although their achievements were in different events, the one thing they have in common is their potential for strong improvement in 2018 as they quietly climb the WCA rankings.

Will Callan (2x2 single 0.74 - Rally In The Valley 2017)

When you look at Will's statistics for 2x2, one word comes to mind: consistent. Since the begining of his cubing career, Will's personal best times seem to update every 1 to 2 competitions. Will is currently ranked 4th in the United States for 2x2 single. WCA Profile

Elijah Brown (Pyraminx single 1.41 - Skillcon 2017)

Elijah is no stranger to the pyraminx podium, as he's often finishing on top at many west coast (southern California) competitons. He is currently ranked 2nd in the USA for pyraminx single. WCA Profile

Igor Kowalczyk (3x3 OH single 9.07 - Speed Days Krasnik 2017)

Igor is best known for his smooth and effortless turning style when it comes to 3x3 one handed, but what's more impressive is his 3rd place national ranking in Poland. WCA Profile
